Design and deployment of custom
business intelligence solutions
Microsoft
Dynamics NAV offers the user a wide set of options for business reporting and
analysis through the standard built-in reports and powerful reporting and analysis
tools. The fact that these tools are a part of the system is very useful, however it
also has some disadvantages.
Advantages of the built in tools are that the users can
work in a familiar environment which reduces the need for additional training,
that users have a large number of predefined reports at their disposal, and also that
the existing financial and business analysis tools allow for a simple setup and a swift
deployment.
The disadvantages may surface if the users tend to frequently
execute complex reports or analyses thus reducing the overall performance of the system
for other users. The reason for this is that business solutions are
primarily designed for a fast transaction processing, rather than optimal analysis
performance. Besides, the built in tools only allow you to analyze the data located in
the system.
For those clients whose analysis requirements cannot be met by
the built-in tools in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, or who want to analyze data from multiple sources
(e.g. Microsoft Dynamics NAV + specialized business application), we can offer the services
of design and deployment of a custom solution for business data analysis (Business
Intelligence).
Our BI solutions are based on the
Microsoft SQL Server 2005
technology and include the following services:

Advanced training for
Microsoft Office Excel
Microsoft Office is the most commonly used suite of
office applications among the users of Microsoft Windows operating system.
The most popular members of the Microsoft Office family - Word, Excel and Outlook,
are programs used by most office employees. Ease of use and highly
intuitive user interface enable users to apply the basic functionality of
these programs in their daily work with no training whatsoever.
However,
it is regularly noticed that most users remain on that level, using only a
limited set of capabilities offered by these programs, and doing a great
deal of work manually. When Excel is concerned, that means you might need
hours for a task that can be completed in minutes using the advanced program
functionality, if you even manage to complete the task by yourself.
We have already pointed out the tight integration between the
Microsoft Dynamics NAV and the Microsoft Office suite, and how important the
knowledge of Excel is during the implementation of the business solution. A number
of other business applications are also directly or indirectly connectable to the
Microsoft Office suite, covering at least the copying of various data and reports
into Excel. Unfortunately, if the user can't process and display the data in a desired way
the benefits of integration are practically lost.
On top of that, Excel is an almost irreplacable tool when it comes to
processing, analysis, displaying or storing various business data unrelated to the
business solution.

Excel and increase their productivity in daily work, we have prepared an
advanced training course for Microsoft Excel.
The content of this course includes:

Installation and configuration of
network infrastructure
